My wife has had an entity following her since she was very young. I'm not convinced that its demonic as there are some things that I've noticed that are subtle that don't quite fit for that. I have dealt and made friends with many spirits. I am essentially a connection of sorts to both worlds if it deals with solving some problem or other.
My wife is a very psychically open person and I honestly believe that we were drawn to each other because of our psyches. This entity initially convinced me that it was a demon by its initial actions. It does seem to become more powerful the more she stays in one spot and the less she's active so I know it's very intimately connected to her. It seems to protect as much as it frustrates.
The entity and I have come to a sort of truce. I'm certain that it believes it is a demon, but it doesn't thrive on fear, pain, and suffering the way a demon would be. Instead it thrives on any energy more like a human spirit might. I'm not entirely comfortable calling it human, tho not for any reason I've experienced. It's just a gut feel.
Any ideas?

I think that if it were me--I would start recording in a journal, the characteristics and behaviors of this entity. Ultimately what is its purpose? Is this a spirit attachment, an ancestor, a guide or something else? Is it here to help your wife or to feed on her or live through her or to harm her? Or otherwise use her.
Once I did encounter a human spirit that was convinced it was a demon--and thankfully it most certainly was not. This belief and lore seem to appear most commonly in Asian culture. I see it depicted in Asian pop culture in cartoons that incorporate the rich belief about the spirit world and various hells. But I could see this happening to an earthbound spirit that is convinced of it's own guilt in its previous life over any manner of actions or self perceptions.
Would you be comfortable listing its behaviors and actions and appearances here? Maybe many (fresh) eyes on this might see what you and your spouse have missed? Just to be clear I am not asking you to reveal personal info that might ID you or your spouse or personal info that might be hurtful on a public forum.

Wow I just realized how old that post was. My apologies. I love to explore these issues and sometimes forget to read the date stamps.
